Location[]

In order to reach the Kingdom of Sahali, you will need to sober up the drunken boar in Fright Cliff.

First you will need to find the drunken boar located in Fright Cliff's Rockrest Flat. From the Shrine continue forward and past the Spearbone. At the next area, the drunken boar will be sitting in the middle. Talk with him and he will require an item to sober up. Now head to Yellow Wind Formation's Windrest Bridge, and after the bridge turn left. Then around the end take a right and on the left you will see a small house you can enter and break a jar. Inside the jar is Sobering Stone, which you need to return to the boar guai in Rockrest Flat. After that the boar guai will move to Crouching Tiger Temple's Temple Entrance. Head upstairs and take the second right. He will ask for a Jade Lotus, which can be purchased from the Keeper's Shrine.

You need to defeat First Prince of the Flowing Sands in Sandgate Village to obtain Arhat Gold Piece.

Now you can go to where the boar guai was in Rockrest Flat. At his area turn right and you will see the Yellow-Robed Squire. After he is defeated, he will ask you to follow him to the secret area Kingdom of Sahali. To enter, just continue forward to the big gates after the fight and go inside.

Once Fuban is defeated you will be transported back to Rockrest Flat and will obtain Wind Tamer.

Secrets and Treasures[]

Before fighting Fuban, make sure to go to the left after defeating the Tiger Vanguard. There is a Knot of Voidness in a chest up a small hill and, a bit forward, a medidation spot.

To the right of the huge stone where the King is, there is also a chest with a mind core behind a rock.

Trivia[]

In the fifty-ninth chapter of The Journey to the West[1] [Tripitaka Tang’s path is blocked at Mountain of Flames; Pilgrim Sun baits for the first time the palm-leaf fan.], when Tang monk and his disciples arrive at the Flaming Mountain, they are met with unbearable, scorching heat. Tang monk questions why the weather is so unusually extreme.

Eight Rules, speculating that they might have reached the country of Sahali, then recounts the legend of this place:"but there is, on the journey to the West, a Sūrya Kingdom[2]. It is the place where the sun sets, and that’s why its popular name is ‘The Edge of Heaven.’ During the time of late afternoon each day, the king will send people up to the battlements to beat the drums and blow the bugles, in order to dilute and weaken the sound of the sea boiling. For the sun, you see, is the true fire of grand yang, and when it drops into the Western Sea, it’s like flames plunging into water and creating a deafening sizzle. If there were no drums or bugles to lessen the impact, the children in the city would all be killed. With this stifling heat here, this place must be where the sun sets."
