It's never been stated or made clear how the four captains were originally like, and Void-Illusion's appearance when he is dead definitely makes it more ambigiously confusing..... he was killed by having his body deformed with multiple arms which stayed until his death. As we know, the captains all share a similar design in the fact they are statue/golem-like while also resembling stuff that straight off looks like eldritch horror. But, did they always look like this, or did they gain this appearance once they were defeated and defected to Yellowbrow (or in poor Void-Illusion's case, mutilated to death)?

Hi :) My name is Nica, I'm currently studying Asian Studies at Leiden University, and I am writing my thesis on Black Myth: Wukong. I’m looking for people who have played / are playing this game on PC or PS5 for at least 20 hours. How often you play or how far you are in the game does not matter; I’m looking for hardcore gamers, casual gamers, and everyone in between.
Thank you so much! Sharing is caring.
Your participation will include filling out a short questionnaire (around 15 minutes)
If you volunteer I would love to interview you online or in-person, depending on your location.
If you are interested in being interviewed and / or have any questions about the research please contact me:

I know they're the Brothers of Meishan, but I wanna know where they can be found in Chinese records/folklore. Does anyone here know where they might be?
I have a question three groups in Chinese mythology known as the 28 Constellation Gods, the Zodiac Deities, and the Loong Brothers:
In the game, we know two Constellation deities known as Kang-Jin Loong the Dragon Constellation, and Dawnstar the Rooster/Chicken Constellation (now known as Duskveil). Does anyone know the names for the other unnamed 25 Constellation Gods?
For the Zodiac Gods, we know of only four. Them being Shen Monkey, Xu Dog, Chen Loong, and Yin Tiger. Since there are 12 zodiacs in total in Chinese mythology, what are the names of the other 8 zodiacs?
And finally, the Loong Brothers. We know they go by color, with the order from Chapters 1-4 being Red, Black, Cyan, and Yellow. Since they are based on the Nine Sons of the Jing River Loong King, what are the names of the Red, Black, Cyan, and Yellow Loong presented in the game? And follow up to that question, what are the names of the other brothers that haven’t been introduced in this game?
Does anybody have a build?
Are they the past, present or future?
I will support
Golden Winged Great Peng
Red-scaled Giant Python
Nine Headed Bug
Six Eared Macaque
Single Horned Rhinoceros King
The Immortals of Tiger
Baigujing
Sha Wujing
Erlang, the Sacred Divinity and Nézhā
Game look fun indeed
Cant wait to see if my ps5 can handle it
I had recently beaten Taoist Mi, and I had wondered about how in his lore he managed to somehow escape from a bunch of yaogaui, even tho the game doesn't show any of his powers. Explanation? Does he even have taoist related powers?
Hi guys. I wonder if there is a problem with obtaining the lotus tender soak. Been farming for it for a couple of days and I'm not getting it.
First of all hi name goldenboi and I started playing Black myth Wukong. Secondly I want to know what The hardest boss you faced and why.
I have an odd question, for the Character and Enemy entries on the Wiki, should there be a Gallery Tab at the bottom of the or should there be a "Journal Portrait Tab" in the info box of each entry? I'm genuinely asking because I don't know which format people would prefer and I don't want to edit or add anything straight away in case I annoy or ruffle anyone's feathers.
The destined One is the Protagonist and not Wukong. The site needs to get updated. Its already cleared up in the beginning of the game
In the game, Wukong is seen about to kill a boss, but another Sun Wukong appears and stops him. Can you please explain it to me because there are 2 Sun Wukong
Travels in the time?
Or did they just put it up for more publicity?
